Arizona State guard Adam Miller will play in Tuesday night’s game against the Arizona Wildcats, according to CBS Sports’ Jon Rothstein.
Miller entered Tuesday as a question mark for the rivalry game due to a hip pointer.
The guard suffered the injury in Arizona State’s 91-81 loss to BYU last Wednesday. He left in the first half following a couple of body shots before briefly returning in the second. He scored 11 points on 4-of-5 shooting. He made three of his four 3-pointers and added an assist and a steal.
Miller did not play in Arizona State’s 99-73 loss to Utah on Saturday.
With BJ Freeman no longer on the team, Miller sits fourth among active Sun Devils in points per game with 10.2 in 27 games played (all starts). He’s been Arizona State’s top shooter this season, pacing all Sun Devils who have played double digit games behind 45.9% from the field and 45.5% from long range.
Jayden Quaintance still sidelined with Adam Miller set to play
While the jury is still out on Miller, center Jayden Quaintance’s status is already known. He won’t play Tuesday due to a right knee injury suffered in Arizona State’s 66-54 win over Kansas State on Feb. 23.
Quaintance was turning in one of his best games as a Sun Devil behind 18 points (two off his career high), seven rebounds, two assists, two steals and one block in 26 minutes before going down on a drive to the hoop with under five minutes to play.
He’s missed the past two games with the injury.
It marks the latest issue for Quaintance, who had just gotten over an ankle injury suffered in Arizona State’s 86-73 loss to Oklahoma State.
“We’re just going to circle the wagons and play with a lot of pride and determination and see where it takes us,” Hurley said when asked about the team being undermanned for Tuesday’s game.
Quaintance is averaging 9.4 points, 7.9 rebounds and 2.6 blocks in 24 games played (all starts).

Q is out, not only for the game, but for his ASU career. He's done. Say thank you and goodbye. He'll play his mandatory one more year somewhere else where he can win, then onto the NBA.
