New York Giants and former Arizona State running back Cam Skattebo was back to his hard-running self, punishing the Houston Texans defense on several runs Sunday.

Skattebo’s day started with a bang as he lowered the helmet against the Texans for a seven-yard run in the first quarter. Unfortunately for the bruiser, his lowering of the helmet triggered a 15-yard unnecessary roughness penalty.

Skattebo broke several tackles on a 16-yard touchdown run to give the Giants the lead in the fourth quarter. It was the running back’s first touchdown since Week 1, and he celebrated the score with his signature backflip celebration.

With the game tied 24-24 in overtime, Skattebo came through in the clutch with a career-best 42-yard run to set the Giants up in Texans’ territory. The Giants walked off the Texans on the next play via a 30-yard touchdown run from Devin Singletary to win the game.

Skattebo finished the game with a career-best 124 rushing yards on 17 carries and scored a touchdown. It was a bounce-back performance for him after being benched last week against the New Orleans Saints and not having a single rushing attempt in the game.
