Cam Skattebo has experienced fans rallying behind his team at Arizona State, and he's hoping New York Giants fans continue to do the same.

Cam Skattebo galvanized the Arizona State fanbase, and he’s hoping to do the same with the New York Giants fans who get to watch him on a regular basis in the league.
The Giants season has been up-and-down so far. Even though they have a solid 2-1 record, their starting quarterback Jaxson Dart and star linebacker Brian Burns are both out for the season with injuries.
Despite this, Skattebo hopes Giants fans will keep pouring into the team the way ASU fans did when he played for them.
Kenny Dillingham recruited Skattebo to ASU from Sacramento State in 2023, but in their first season together they finished with a poor 3-9 record.
The team flipped the script the following year. They went 11-3 and made it all the way to the Peach Bowl. The final AP poll ranked them seventh in the country.
“The fanbase when I first got there (ASU) was not very good,” Skattebo said. “But we ended up building an amazing fanbase; we sold out every game my senior year and look what kind of team we turned into.”
During Skattebo’s junior season at ASU, the team averaged 48,984 fans per game.
Skattebo hopes his experience turning the tide at Arizona State can help the Giants climb back into the NFL playoff picture after some tough recent seasons.
“We have to continue to bring our fanbase in and have people give their efforts and spirit to us,” Skattebo said. “Teams are built on what is surrounding them.”
“I think if we continue to have the city of New York and the state of New Jersey build on what we have, I think we’re going to be just fine,” Skattebo said.
The Giants are playing host to the Arizona Cardinals in Week 4 as they look to remain toward the top of the NFC East.
