The regular season NFL debut of Sun Devil standout N’Keal Harry has been put on hold since he was placed on injured reserve in the preseason, but the wait may not last much longer.

Harry, now a wide receiver for the New England Patriots, was designated to return from IR this season, according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport on Tuesday. He’s eligible to play in Week 9 against the Baltimore Ravens.

He has been on IR since Sept. 2 with an ankle injury.

Additionally, Harry returned to practice on Tuesday as reported by multiple outlets.

Harry was a first-round (32nd overall) pick by the Patriots this year after spending three years at Arizona State. With the Sun Devils, Harry played 37 games and had 2,889 receiving yards for 22 touchdowns. He also had 144 rushing yards for three touchdowns.

His junior year — his final at ASU — Harry made the Pac-12 All-Conference first team before becoming the highest-drafted Patriots wide receiver since Bill Belichick became head coach.
