Caleb Love became the 35th player inducted into the Arizona men’s basketball Ring of Honor on Saturday at halftime of the No. 1 Wildcats’ game against No. 16 Texas Tech.

Love played two seasons for the Wildcats after three years at North Carolina, loading up on accolades following his transfer to Tucson.

Love said in a pregame presser “it means the world” to be inducted into Arizona’s Ring of Honor.

He won Pac-12 Player of the Year and made the AP All-American Third Team in his first season with Arizona, leading the Wildcats’ entrance into the Big 12.

He made the Big 12’s all-conference teams for the regular season and conference tournament in his second year.

Three of his top four scoring games came in an Arizona uniform, including 35 points in his final game, a seven-point Sweet 16 loss to Cooper Flagg’s Duke squad in the 2025 NCAA Tournament.

Head coach Tommy Lloyd earlier in the week pointed out the timing was right for Love with his induction coming on Valentine’s Day.

“Caleb has a special place in my heart,” Lloyd told reporters, also noting the parallels with the state of Arizona’s 114th birthday. “It’s gonna be really cool to have Caleb back here for a few days. I’m just so proud of him.

“He came here, and Arizona was a place that was able to give him a second chance at it and he crushed it. … I think he’s proven his worth.”

Love scored 17.6 points per game over his Arizona career (73 games).

He has been a surprise rookie standout for the Portland Trail Blazers after going undrafted, averaging 14.6 points (42.4% shooting) and 3.3 assists per game in 24 contests since Dec. 23.
