Arizona men’s basketball announced its signing of Evan Otten, a 6-foot-11 transfer from Idaho State, on Friday.

Otten has spent the past three seasons with Idaho State, starting 32 of 33 games played for the Bengals as a redshirt sophomore in 2025-26.

He earned a spot on the Big Sky All-Defensive Team after leading the conference in blocks. He blocked 58 shots with at least three in 10 different games.

The big man scored 4.7 points per game with 3.8 rebounds in 14.7 minutes on average. He shot 52.2% from the field and 60.7% from the free-throw line, taking only one shot from beyond the arc.

Otten was named the 2024-25 Big Sky Freshman of the Year after leading the conference in blocks (66) that season while averaging 5.4 points and 5.4 rebounds per game.

He will provide additional frontcourt depth after incumbent center Motiejus Krivas announced he will return for another season.

Otten joins big man Ugnius Jarusevicius (Nebraska), guard Derek Dixon (North Carolina) and guard JJ Mandaquit (Washington) as Arizona’s 2026 transfer class, so far.
