NCAA Tournament bracket predictions: How far will Arizona Wildcats advance?

Prediction: Sweet 16 loss

Borzello has the Wildcats bouncing Akron (13 seed) and Oregon (5) before losing to Duke (1) in the Sweet 16.

 A potential Caleb Love vs. Duke matchup in the Sweet 16 is interesting, but the Blue Devils have too much.

Prediction: First round loss

Fanta has Akron (13) upsetting Arizona in the first round of the tournament.

Fox Sports’ Michael Cohen

Prediction: Sweet 16 loss

Cohen has Arizona taking down Akron (13) and Oregon (5) before falling to his eventual champion, Duke (1), in the Sweet 16.

Prediction: Sweet 16 loss

Moore has the Wildcats getting by Akron (13) and Oregon (5) before losing to Duke (1) in the Sweet 16.

If you want to pick Duke to get upset, the Sweet 16 might be a decent spot. Duke beat Arizona by 14 in Tucson earlier this season, but the Wildcats have improved as much as anyone since November, mostly because of the emergence of Henri Veesaar. The Wildcats’ bigs are athletic enough to at least match up with Cooper Flagg, but it would take Caleb Love’s going nuclear to pull off the upset. I’m tempted but ultimately too much of a believer in this Duke team.

Prediction: Second round loss

Auerbach has the Wildcats running through Akron (13) before taking a loss against Oregon (5).

The Sporting News’ Bill Bender

Prediction: Sweet 16 loss

Bender has Arizona knocking off Akron (13) and Liberty (12) before falling to Duke (1).

Baylor and Arizona are good teams, but they aren’t top-10 teams. Duke can win those games in the East Region.
