Arizona’s Tre Spivey 57-yard touchdown part of blowout win vs. Colorado

Tre Spivey took off for an opening score as part of the Arizona Wildcats’ 52-17 win against Colorado on Saturday.

In the opening minutes of the game, the sophomore wideout caught a pass out of the backfield from quarterback Noah Fifita and proceeded to break and evade several tacklers as he reached the endzone to open the scoring for Arizona.

Later in the first quarter and leading 10-0, Arizona’s Kris Hutson caught a 12-yard touchdown pass from Fifita to give the Wildcats a three-score lead.

After Colorado responded with a touchdown drive, Arizona answered back with a 60-yard touchdown from Gio Richardson to make it 24-7 following the extra point.

Arizona would cap off a 38-point first half with a 34-yard touchdown pass from Fifita to Javin Whatley in the final minute of the second quarter to make it 38-7.

Fifita had an impressive outing on Saturday for the Wildcats, throwing for 213 yards and four touchdowns as Arizona racked up 52 points on 417 total yards.

Arizona (5-3, 2-3 Big 12) picked up their second conference win of the season. The win also surpassed Arizona’s entire win total from last season where the Wildcats finished with a 4-8 record.
