Arizona Wildcats receiver Dorian Singer, the Pac-12’s leader in receiving yards this season, has opted to enter the transfer portal.

He confirmed the reports Monday on Twitter, thanking the Wildcats for his first two collegiate seasons.

“I appreciate my teammates for always keeping my confidence high & holding me to a high ceiling on & off the field,” he added. “Thank you to the city of Tucson for the support and appreciation.

“After long talks with my family I would like to announce I will be entering the transfer portal.”

Utah and Arizona State were quick to offer him.

Singer made 18 catches for 301 yards as a freshman in 2021 before he blew up along with a reinvigorated offense in head coach Jedd Fisch’s second season in charge.

Ranking 11th in the nation with 1,105 receiving yards, Singer scored six touchdowns and averaged 16.7 yards per catch in each of his two seasons in Tucson.

The Pinnacle High School product joined the Wildcats as a preferred walkon but rose up the ladder late his freshman season.

He leaves a team perhaps to take on more responsibility elsewhere. He was the beneficiary of the arrival of quarterback Jayden de Laura, who transferred in from Washington State this past offseason.

Singer also played alongside Jacob Cowing, a UTEP transfer who in his first year with the Wildcats recorded 1,034 yards and seven touchdowns. Freshman Tetairoa McMillan added 702 yards and eight touchdowns for Arizona.
