Arizona making upgrades to Casino Del Sol Stadium
Arizona Athletics announced Wednesday that a series of new enhancements will be coming to Casino Del Sol Stadium, starting in 2026.

Arizona Athletics announced Wednesday that a series of new enhancements will be coming to Casino Del Sol Stadium, home of the Arizona Wildcats’ football team, starting in 2026.
Several new upgrades will be added to the stadium in an effort to improve the fan experience during Arizona football games. These include a new sound system, new video boards and upgraded lighting for night games.
The enhancements were made following community feedback and a feasibility study from the athletic department.
“We value our fans and appreciate the passion and support they bring, which are part of what makes Arizona Athletics so special for our student-athletes and the entire university community,” athletic director Desireé Reed-Francois said. “The feasibility study gave us clear insight into what matters most, and we are acting decisively on those priorities.”
Arizona will also move its home bench from the east sideline of the stadium to the west sideline, which will place the visiting team in front of the Arizona student section.
“We want to create the best home field advantage in the Big 12 at Casino Del Sol Stadium, and these improvements work together to fuel the energy we need from Wildcat fans,” head coach Brent Brennan said. “The video boards, lighting, sound and sideline alignment all contribute to a stronger game-day experience and make Casino Del Sol Stadium a tougher place to play for visiting teams.”
Arizona football will kick off its season at home against Northern Arizona on Sept. 5.

I'm surprised it took so long to put the team on the other side of the field, as they used to be getting baked by the sun . . . Now it's the visiting teams' problem. I'm sure there's going to be some interesting action between the Zona Zoo and the opposing team; what can possibly go wrong?
