Preseason college bowl predictions: Arizona expectations mixed

Following an up-and-down season in 2017, Arizona is still expected to make a bowl game in Kevin Sumlin's first year as coach, but national media outlets disagreed about which college football bowl game they'll play in.

Just nine days from the season opener, Arizona supporters are feverish in anticipation of Kevin Sumlin’s first year as head coach.

Arizona opens the season at home against BYU, and the Wildcats will look to make a statement in Sumlin’s first game. Following a 7-6 season last year, the expectations for this year’s team are mixed.

However, the Wildcats return one of the most explosive offenses in the Pac-12 and a preseason Heisman candidate in quarterback Khalil Tate. Because of this, national media outlets expect Arizona to play postseason football in 2017.

From California to Sin City to Texas, the places Arizona could go are scattered across the country.
