Arizona, ASU make NCAA Baseball Tournament field in regionals hosted by former Pac-12 foes
Arizona and ASU learned where they will begin their NCAA Baseball Tournament journeys, both in regionals hosted by former Pac-12 foes.

Arizona was safely in the 2025 NCAA Baseball Tournament, and ASU learned Monday it snuck in from the bubble to end the longest drought in program history.
The Wildcats won the Big 12 Championship to punch their ticket on Saturday, but they were left waiting to see if they’d host a regional. A Tucson regional did not come, and Arizona will instead begin its tournament journey in the Eugene regional where former Pac-12 foe Oregon is the host.
Arizona knocked off top-seed West Virginia and 3-seed TCU in its conference tournament run and will now get a crack at national 12-seed Oregon. Utah Valley and Cal Poly make up the rest of the grouping.
ASU entered the day on the “Last Four In” line, per D1 Baseball, and its appearance marked the first for coach Willie Bloomquist in his fourth season. It also ended the longest drought in program history after it hadn’t made the field since 2021.
The Sun Devils find themselves in the Los Angeles regional hosted by UCLA, another former Pac-12 foe. They split a two-game set with the national 15-seed Bruins in February. Fresno State and UC Irvine join them in L.A.
TV, time for Arizona, ASU regional games in NCAA Baseball Tournament
Both the Eugene and Los Angeles regionals will run from May 30 to June 2 in a double-elimination format. The seeding order for Eugene is as follows:
- Oregon
- Arizona
- Cal Poly
- Utah Valley
Arizona will first face Cal Poly on Friday at 1 p.m. MST. It will be stream on ESPN+.
Here’s how the Los Angeles regional shook out:
- UCLA
- UC Irvine
- ASU
- Fresno State
The Sun Devils will begin against UC Irvine at 6 p.m. on Friday on ESPNU.

Pathetic the Big 12 champs are not hosting.. This will be a continued situation for Big 12/ACC and all the other schools not in the SEC or Big 10... NCAA is pathetic now
Not a single team in the Big XII getting to host a regional is a complete joke . . . Especially given their Quad 1 wins against the other teams and those teams' records vs Quad 1's . . . And although the team down south was given a 2 seed, why were they shipped to Eugene, and the Devils get a quick trip to L.A. as a 3-?-I'll take it, just getting in for the first time in years, but it seems odd for a Conference Tournament Champion . . .
