Arizona-Michigan Final Four matchup set for Saturday in Indianapolis

The NCAA Tournament matchup between Arizona and Michigan is set for Saturday around 6 p.m. MST as the second game of the Final Four in Indianapolis.

The NCAA Tournament matchup between No. 1 seeds Arizona and Michigan is set for Saturday around 6 p.m. MST as the second game of the Final Four at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis.

The game, which will be televised on TBS, will tip off shortly after No. 2 UConn matches up against No. 3 Illinois, a contest that will begin at 3:09 p.m. The winners of the Final Four games will face off on April 6, the following Monday, for the national title.

This is the Wildcats’ first Final Four appearance since 2001, when they lost the championship game to Duke. Arizona is looking to reach its third national championship game and is seeking its second title in program history.

Arizona has looked the part of a No. 1 seed during the NCAA Tournament as the Wildcats have won all their games by double digits, including a 79-64 win against No. 2 Purdue in the Elite Eight on Saturday.

Michigan has also won all of its games by double digits, coming off an impressive 95-62 victory over No. 6 Tennessee in the Elite Eight on Sunday. Michigan is in its first Final Four since 2018, when the Wolverines lost the national championship game to Villanova. The Wolverines are seeking their first national title since 1989 and second in program history.

Through March 15, Michigan was first in the nation with a 17-3 record against Quad 1 teams, while Arizona was third with a 16-2 record.

This will be the 11th meeting between Arizona and Michigan and the first since 2021. The Wildcats lead the overall series 8-2, having won their last three games against the Wolverines. The Wolverines last beat the Wildcats in 1996. This will be the first time the two teams have played each other in the NCAA Tournament.
