Arizona Sports Week 6 NFL Power Rankings: Vikings take over top spot

Another week, another new team on top of the Arizona Sports NFL Power Rankings.

The Minnesota Vikings continued their dominant 2016 defensive performance by holding the Houston Texans to one touchdown and 214 total yards in a convincing 31-13 win at U.S. Bank Stadium.

After Week 5, the Vikings are the league’s only unbeaten team, and it’s not hard to see why. Minnesota is giving up an average of 12 points and 287.6 yards per game. They’ve also forced 12 turnovers while committing only one; their +11 turnover differential is the best in the league.

And quarterback Sam Bradford is finally living up to the top-overall pick label that has followed him since the Rams took him with the first pick of the 2010 draft. Now with his third NFL team, Bradford is completing 70 percent of his throws and has thrown six touchdown passes with no interceptions. His quarterback rating of 109.8 is the second-best in the league, behind only Atlanta’s Matt Ryan.

Last week’s top team, the Denver Broncos, fell to number-six after suffering a home loss to the Falcons. New England, Pittsburgh, Seattle and Green Bay round out our top five.
