Calais Campbell’s NFL career isn’t over yet. It just won’t continue with the Arizona Cardinals.

The veteran defensive lineman, who turns 40 in September, is re-signing with the Baltimore Ravens on a one-year contract, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

The news comes after Cardinals general manager Monti Ossenfort said the team was in “wait-and-see mode” regarding Campbell’s future.

Campbell played for the Ravens from 2020-22. He was a Pro Bowler in 2020 and totaled 11 sacks, 14 tackles for loss and 36 QB hits for Baltimore across three seasons.

One of the consistent presences on defense, Campbell finished the season with 6.5 sacks, nine tackles for loss and 16 QB hits across 17 starts. Only pass rusher Josh Sweat tallied more of each (12 sacks, 13 tackles for loss, 17 QB hits).

In addition to serving as one of Arizona’s biggest defensive assets on the field, the big man was a huge influence as a captain and leader.

Campbell first came to Arizona as a 2008 second-round pick (No. 50 overall) out of Miami.

He appeared in 155 games (137 starts) in his 10-year stint with the franchise, recording 63 sacks, 116 tackles for loss, 44 passes defensed, eight forced fumbles and 140 QB hits. He earned two Pro Bowl nods and a pair of All-Pro honors during that span.

Campbell went on to sign with the Jacksonville Jaguars (2017-19), Ravens (2020-22), Atlanta Falcons (2023) and Miami Dolphins (2024) before heading back to Arizona last year.
