Cardinals and Hjalte Froholdt agree to contract extension

The desert Viking isn’t going anywhere.

The Arizona Cardinals and center Hjalte Froholdt have agreed to a two-year contract extension worth $20 million, according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.

This is Froholdt’s second contract extension with the franchise after originally coming aboard in 2023.

He inked his first extension with the franchise in 2024, another two-year deal.

The news comes as Arizona heads to Green Bay for a joint practice and preseason finale against the Packers.

Froholdt has become one of the steadiest members of the Cardinals offensive line and has locked down the center spot since joining the franchise under former head coach Jonathan Gannon.

The veteran hasn’t missed a game in his Cardinals tenure with 51 starts under his belt.

He’s clearly impressed new head coach Mike LaFleur and the rest of the coaching staff with Tuesday’s news.
