Cardinals rookie OL Chase Bisontis done for season after being placed on IR

Bisontis' season ends after he went down with a knee injury in the second half of the Cardinals' preseason game against the Raiders on Thursday.

Arizona Cardinals rookie guard Chase Bisontis’ 2026 campaign is over as he was placed on the injured reserve after suffering a torn MCL, the team announced Saturday.

In addition to Bisontis, tight end Jameson Geers and linebacker Austin Keys were also placed on IR. The Cardinals also signed tight end Baylor Cupp, defensive lineman Keveion’ta Spears and running back Tre Stewart as part of several roster moves made on Saturday.

Bisontis suffered the left knee injury in the second half of the Cardinals’ preseason game against the Las Vegas Raiders on Thursday. The lineman was visibly in pain before being helped to the blue medical tent by trainers and later carted back to the locker room. Head coach Mike LaFleur told reporters after the game that the injury was “not good.”

NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport and Mike Garafolo first reported on Friday that Bisontis suffered the MCL injury, with LaFleur confirming the injury on Saturday.
