Cardinals’ Kliff Kingsbury appears in Patrick Mahomes’ Adidas ads

Feb 3, 2020, 11:21 AM

Arizona Cardinals head coach Kliff Kingsbury is getting a little facetime around the Kansas City Chiefs’ Super Bowl LIV win over the San Francisco 49ers.

Kingsbury, who coached the game’s MVP Patrick Mahomes in college, appeared in a post-Super Bowl Adidas ad that the brand released on its social media accounts Monday morning.

The Arizona head coach contributes a quick “expectation crashing” bit as the ad celebrates the Chiefs quarterback’s victory.

Adidas previously released a minute-long video with different personalities of Mahomes’ past describing the quarterback’s upcoming in Texas.

“Our very first scrimmage, he threw five touchdown passes,” Kingsbury, the former Texas Tech head coach, says.

Kingsbury was at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami watching Mahomes take down the 49ers, 31-20, with a late rally Sunday. He joined Mahomes’ coach from Whitehouse High School in Texas, Adam Cook, in watching their former quarterback.

Kingsbury gifted Cook a Super Bowl ticket after learning through a reporter that Mahomes’ high school coach wanted to root for his former player.
