If you’re heading to this Thursday’s preseason NFL game between the Arizona Cardinals and Los Angeles Chargers, you may enter the stadium in a different way than you’re used to.

That’s because the Cardinals have introduced a new ticketing method for the upcoming season — including the preseason — as part of an NFL-wide initiative. Fans will access games with digital cards (for season ticket holders) or on a smartphone with tickets stored in the team’s mobile app.

The team will no longer accept print-at-home or PDF tickets, nor can one enter the game with screenshots of barcodes on their phone.

“In addition to enhancing security and reducing fraud concerns involved with lost, stolen or counterfeit tickets, digital ticketing allows for quick and easy stadium entry as well as the added convenience that gives customers the ability to manage, transfer or sell tickets at anytime from anywhere,” a statement from the team said.

Season ticket holders will be provided with a card that is used for entry to the stadium throughout the season. They can also access their tickets on the app.

You can get the app by visiting azcardinals.com/app.

The Cardinals also said that a “Digital Ticketing Assistance team” will be near each gate at State Farm Stadium to help those who need help with the new platform.
