Arizona Cardinals running back Jeremiyah Love slammed his helmet in frustration after limping off the field late in the first quarter against the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday.
Love, who missed the previous two games with an ankle injury, was slow to get up after a three-yard run that ended with his right ankle turning underneath a defender.
The rookie went into the blue medical tent and eventually headed back to the locker room.
The Cardinals initially said Love was questionable to return due to an ankle injury, and he was eventually ruled out, according to the FOX Sports broadcast.

Love said on Friday that his lingering ankle issues have prevented him from feeling like himself for most of this season, as he injured one ankle during the preseason and the other in Week 2.
The Cardinals handed the ball off to Love nine times in the opening quarter, and he had very little room to operate with 23 yards (2.6 average).
Arizona took Love with the No. 3 overall pick in the 2026 NFL Draft.
The Cardinals won the game, 33-30, in overtime.
This is a developing story.

Is Love a glass man? Always going to be hurt?
Curious why the plays called for Allgeier in the 2nd half largely have been on the edge or outside (either run or pass), but they insisted on pounding Love between the tackles. Anyone have an answer?
Just let Love do what all AZ Cardinal first-rounders do - go on season ending IR, look really cool with all that bling on the sidelines yucking it up with his homies while they lose again, and cash that BIG paycheck. See ya next season!
