Cardinals, Michael Wilson agree to contract extension
Wilson joined the Cardinals as a third-round pick in the 2023 NFL Draft and has been a bright spot for the franchise on and off the field.

The Arizona Cardinals and wide receiver Michael Wilson have agreed to a contract extension.
The extension spans three years and can reach a maximum value of $78 million with $47 million guaranteed, his agent told NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.
Wilson is the latest Cardinals player to get a deal done this offseason, falling in line behind quarterback Jacoby Brissett’s reworked contract and offensive lineman Hjalte Froholdt’s extension.
The 2023 third-round pick’s NFL career started off slow, seeing no more than 71 targets in a single season across his first two years.
That all changed in 2025, though, with Wilson emerging as a true WR1 for the franchise.
With injuries and inconsistency plaguing Marvin Harrison Jr., Wilson stepped into a much larger role midway through the year.
The end result was Wilson reeling in 78 catches (126 targets) for 1,006 yards and seven touchdowns.
Most of that came with Brissett — not Kyler Murray — running the show for the final 12 games of the season.
Wilson has only used that showing as a steppingstone. Throughout training camp and the preseason, the wide receiver has flashed all the intangibles needed to take over the Puka Nacua role in head coach Mike LaFleur’s offense.
Whether he’s playing the Z, X, Y or running the rock, Wilson looks poised to produce in Arizona’s new-look offense.

By your comment, I suspect you didnt actually watch the games.
He was essentially being ignored by Kyler and did not figure into the game plan the first five games of the season...at which point he had 8 total catches for 52 yards. Then Marv went down and MW began to figure into the offense prominently.
In the final 12 games, when he was depended on to perform, he had 72 grabs for over 950 yards. That's 80 yards a game.
Thats elite #2 and borderline #1 numbers.
Wilson did pretty good when the rocket scientist was our QB but and ceased to exist when Kyler came back. He got open but Kyler could never find him. Then Kyler is gone and he flourished again. I like the signing.
