Cardinals QB Kyler Murray tosses 1st career touchdown pass

Arizona Cardinals rookie quarterback Kyler Murray found pay dirt late against the Detroit Lions on Sunday.

Sitting in Detroit territory, Arizona finally struck gold, as Murray connected with running back David Johnson for the 27-yard score in the fourth quarter, his first of his NFL career.

After the QB started 9-of-26, Murray turned it on in the fourth quarter, connecting on 10 of his last 12 passes.

Looking much more comfortable behind the line of scrimmage, Murray and the Cardinals drove 70 yards on seven plays.

It was a welcome sight in a game that saw the Cardinals struggle offensively throughout.

At halftime, the team had just 58 yards of total offense, with Murray sitting at 41 yards passing, while looking out of sorts on the gridiron.
