The Arizona Cardinals signed outside linebacker Ronnie Perkins, offensive lineman Nick Leverett and corner Keion Crossen to their practice squad on Wednesday.

The Cardinals cleared practice squad spots by cutting tight end Jordan Murray and offensive lineman Austen Pleasants on Tuesday, while kicker Chad Ryland signed to the active roster with Matt Prater landing on injured reserve.

Perkins was a 2021 third-round pick by the New England Patriots out of Oklahoma, where he was teammates with Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray in 2018.

Perkins did not make his NFL debut until 2023 with the Denver Broncos, however, as he finished the 2021 season on injured reserve and missed all of 2022. His viral moment with New England came during the 2023 preseason when he puked at the line of scrimmage and then made a tackle.

For Denver, Perkins played seven games, totaling 149 defensive snaps and 21 special teams snaps. He recorded 13 combined tackles, two tackles for loss, a quarterback hit and no sacks.

The Broncos waived Perkins in August with an injury designation, and the 25-year-old receives a new opportunity from a team in need of pass rush help.

Crossen has 75 games of NFL experience with four teams after the Patriots selected him in the seventh round of the 2018 NFL Draft.

As a rookie, Crossen played primarily on special teams for the Super Bowl-winning Patriots. He has been traded twice since and last played in 2022 for the Miami Dolphins.

In 16 contests, Crossen tallied 32 tackles and four passes defensed while playing a career-high 36% of defensive snaps. He spent all of 2023 on injured reserve before getting released this past offseason.

Crossen will join Jaden Davis and Divaad Wilson as cornerbacks on the practice squad.

Leverett has played five games with the New England Patriots this season but was released Monday. He has 21 games and 11 starts in his four-year career and plays center and guard.

Leverett spent 2020-23 with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and appeared in 16 games with 10 starts for them.
