The Arizona Cardinals have waived offensive lineman Christian Jones, according to NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo.
The news comes as the Cardinals continue making moves to finalize their 53-man roster ahead of the roster-cutdown deadline on Sunday. Arizona traded running back Corey Kiner on Saturday in exchange for a 2028 seventh-round draft pick.
Jones was drafted by the Cardinals in the fifth round of the 2024 NFL Draft. He started last season on injured reserve due to a knee injury before being activated in December. He appeared in four games with one start across two seasons.
Jones was another player who was gonna have a tough time making the 53-man roster behind left tackles Paris Johnson Jr. and Josh Fryar, with Elijah Wilkinson and Jayden Williams likely taking the spots on the right side of the offensive line.
