Cardinals the best fit for free agents Haason Reddick and Milton Williams, PFF says
The Arizona Cardinals were pegged by Pro Football Focus as the best landing spot for edge rusher Haason Reddick and defensive tackle Milton Williams, both of whom are considered top-15 free agents by the site.

The Arizona Cardinals were pegged by Pro Football Focus as the best landing spot for edge rusher Haason Reddick and defensive tackle Milton Williams, both of whom are considered top-15 free agents by the site.
Adding Reddick or Williams would help shore up a defensive line that was a position of weakness last year even before the front lost four key members to injuries.
Pass rushers BJ Ojulari and Dennis Gardeck as well as defensive tackles Justin Jones and Bilal Nichols were lost to season-ending injuries within Arizona’s first several games.
Reddick, a Cardinals draftee in 2017 who played in Arizona through 2020, set career lows across the board in his lone season with the New York Jets, finishing with one sack, 14 tackles, two tackles for loss and three quarterback hits.
He made his season debut in Week 8 after a lengthy holdout, causing the lack of production.
If Reddick were to come back to Arizona, it would be a reunion not only with the Valley but also with Jonathan Gannon, PFF noted.
While his production (34 sacks over the past three seasons ranking among the NFL’s top 10) speaks for itself, teams may be cautious about committing significant cap space to a player with recent off-field uncertainty. However, a reunion with Jonathan Gannon — who coached Reddick during his breakout 2022 campaign in Philadelphia — could be a perfect fit for a team familiar with his effectiveness as a pass rusher.
While Reddick’s season saw him on the downturn, Williams broke out for the Philadelphia Eagles in 2024, forcing and recovering a fumble in addition to career highs in sacks (five) and quarterback hits (10) despite just seven starts in 17 games.
He was a second-year pro finding his footing in the league when Gannon last coordinated for the Eagles in 2022. PFF said Arizona has the money to make the reunions happen.
Armed with the NFL’s fourth-highest projected cap space this offseason, the Cardinals are well-positioned to revamp their defensive front. It wouldn’t be surprising to see Gannon target familiar faces from Philadelphia, like Milton, to transform the pass rush in 2025.
The free agency negotiation period begins on March 10 at 9 a.m. MST. Contracts can then be signed starting on March 12 at 1 p.m.

If the price is right. I wouldn't spend big money on a downturn year or a one year break out guy... Either way. Seen too many of them come through this franchise and being a disappointment. JJ Watt was the only exception more recently to a long list of "we didn't get what we paid for". Jordan Phillips... Suggs... You know what I'm saying. I don't care if there is bigger money tied to the incentives portion though... At least you pay for what you were expecting from them that way.
Totally. JJ was a desperation move--one of many that ultimately got Keim 'retired' (fired). Please, no more desperation hirings--Reddick is in that category. No more of he went to highschool in Phoenix, he's a fan favorite, or he can play multiple positions as excuse to bring Reddick to reunite him with Gannon. Can only play that card once or twice. Reddick's too far past prime. We saw how Chandler Jones take those $Ms and was subpar his final year. Then Las Vegas learned he was out for bucks. Players need to learn to save, spend wisely, and not expect to gouge teams on their final contract.
Reddick would be a tremendous signing. Arizona needs to sign an EDGE, a DT and a MLB. Poaching Elite MLB Dre Greenlaw would be a huge signing greatly improving their run defense middle of their defense and run defense next to Mack Wilson Sr. Addressing those three positions and then in the draft adding one more DT and they’ll have a top 10 defense next season.
In FA they need to sign an elite OG and mid tier FA WR before drafting a WR in the draft. AZ signing Elite RG Will Fries and bringing back excellent OG Will Hernandez to battle 2nd yr Isaiah Adams ensures AZ has a top 8 OL next season. Sign WR Chris Goodwin to a 1-2YR deal or Stefan Diggs to a 1-2yr deal both easily still capable of 80/1000YD 6-9TD seasons healthy. If all the good ED/DT in RD1 are gone AZ can then draft multi role WR Emeka Egbuka or if they take say DT Walter Nolan then in RD2 they could draft elite route runner n burner deep threat who can stretch the field w/4.35 speed 6”0 205 WR Matthew Golden or 6”1-205 WR Jalen Royals (4.38) all 3 can excel as X/Z or in the slot and are ideal #2WRs.
Adding an OG and Premier WR this offseason will put AZs offense over the top as a top 5-7 offense they just need more help at WR and paired with elite WR talent 6”4 WR MHJ taking off in yr2 along with Michael Wilson and elite top 3 TE Trey McBride n top 5 run game behind a protected Kyler Murray at QB their passing game will be elite as one of the NFLs best and deepest in terms of talent.
Now that this years 64th overall pick can be relied on in pass situations on 3rd downs having greatly improved in blitz recognition/pickup n pass protection big 6”1-216lb dual threat RB/WR talent RB Trey Benson who posses elite 4.36 speed, power and athleticism will see his snaps and production take off next season as a lead back and w/ 200-225 ATTs AVG 5.0-5.5YPC he easily see around 1150-1250YDs/7-8TD and 45-50rec/500-600YDs 3-5TDs with James Connor seeing around the same 180-200atts and around 1000YDs 10-14TDs getting all the goal line carry’s.
With just a few additions adding a WR and OG There offense will be a one of the most explosive in the league .
