Hopkins starting MVP campaign for Kyler Murray as buzz grows

The Arizona Cardinals are 2-0 to start the season, but most of the discussion around the team is rightfully circling second-year quarterback Kyler Murray.

With Murray’s explosiveness running the ball adding up to 158 rushing yards and three touchdowns, it’s made him one of the most exciting players in the league.

In fact, Hall of Fame tight end and FOX analyst Tony Gonzalez went even further to say Murray’s the one guy he wants to watch more than anyone else.

Murray has completed 66% of his passes as well for 516 yards and two touchdowns.

Compile all those factors together, and all you need is a little bit of narrative juice with Murray being a factor in the MVP conversation. Luckily for him, Murray was already heavily discussed in the leadup to the 2020 season as a darkhorse for the award, so check that box too.

ESPN’s Bill Barnwell tweeted Sunday night that he had Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson number one on his ballot two weeks in, with Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen behind him.

He confirmed that Murray’s in the mix too.
