While there was plenty of love for the Cardinals’ pick, others across the NFL were disappointed Arizona snagged him so early.
The New York Giants were one of the teams linked to the Notre Dame running back, with the No. 5 and No. 10 picks, and receiver Malik Nabers couldn’t hold back his emotions after the Cardinals took him off the board.
“Oh no,” Nabors said as he reacted to the Cardinals drafting Love. “Having that kind of a running back in the backfield with Jackson. You don’t know who’s getting the ball. He’s a home run back. The defense have to come down and play that.

“It gives me a opportunity to not face double-coverage, you have to bring (the safety) down. You got Jackson back there with J Love, so you gotta pick your poison.”
