TEMPE — The Arizona Cardinals, particularly on offense, lost substantial talent to injuries during Sunday’s 33-30 win against the Dallas Cowboys, including running back Jeremiyah Love.

Head coach Mike LaFleur provided several updates on Monday, saying Love suffered a “different” ankle injury than the ones he had dealt with already this season.

Love, the No. 3 overall pick, suffered a right ankle injury in the first quarter in Dallas, as he slammed his helmet after limping off the field. He had missed the previous two games and said on Friday that ankle issues have prevented him from feeling like himself all season.

“It’s a higher one,” LaFleur told Arizona Sports’ Burns & Gambo. “It’s just been crazy unfortunate for the kid. … All he wants to do is be out there and help out his teammates, produce and win football games. So it’s a setback, for sure.”

LaFleur said he had not spoken to Love on Monday yet, so he would have more details later this week.

How are Kendrick Bourne and Bam Knight?

Wide receiver Kendrick Bourne was helped to the locker room with an ankle injury late in the first half, and one play later, running back Bam Knight took a violent hit from Dallas’ DeMarvion Overshown and entered concussion protocols.

ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported Bourne suffered a broken tibia that will not require surgery, but with a three-month recovery period, it should end his season.

“It’s not looking good. Not saying it’s the season, but it might be,” LaFleur said during his Monday press conference.

Knight, meanwhile, was feeling better on Monday than on Sunday but was still in the protocol. The Cardinals will know more about his status later this week.

Tyler Allgeier was the last running back available in the second half on Sunday, and LaFleur said he may have thrown wide receiver and returner Devin Duvernay back there had anything happened to Allgeier.

In regards to veteran James Conner, who has not played this season after suffering a leg injury in 2025, LaFleur said this is probably not the week when he will be a factor.

Left tackle Jayden Williams (knee) exited in the third quarter with Josh Fryar taking over as left tackle — starting left tackle Paris Johnson Jr. is out for the season with a biceps injury.

Wide receiver Reggie Virgil went to the locker room in the fourth quarter after crashing into the goal post padding while attempting to catch a pass.

More information on their statuses is expected later this week.

Michael Wilson battled through pain

As for wide receiver Michael Wilson, who told reporters in Dallas he had two broken ribs after making eight catches for 111 yards, the situation was about pain tolerance.

LaFleur said the medical team deemed Wilson’s injuries were not at risk of getting worse, so his availability during Sunday’s game had everything to do with his ability to manage the pain.

He was slow to get up after diving to make a catch at the end of the first half and went into the medical tent, and he later grabbed his midsection after grabbing the game-tying touchdown reception late in the fourth quarter.

“I told him yesterday after the game, ‘If we need to give you a little extra time Wednesday, Thursday’ and his response was, ‘I’d rather practice and play at 60% just because I think practice is so important. I mean, that’s just his mindset,” LaFleur said.
