Arizona Sports Hall of Fame induction hits home for Cardinals’ Michael Bidwill

It was a night to remember for Cardinals owner Michael Bidwill and the rest of the Arizona Sports Hall of Fame class of 2025 on Thursday night.

Just being named to the Hall of Fame is an honor in itself. But joining his father, Bill Bidwill, in the hall and becoming one of the only father-son duos takes things to a whole other level.

“It was great to celebrate and also think about the other Cardinals that have been in there including Adrian Wilson, Jake Plummer, Larry Fitzgerald, Pat Tillman and my father,” Bidwill told Arizona Sports’ Wolf & Luke on Friday. I think my father and I are the second or third father-son duo … so it was really special from that angle, too, just to be among all those great Cardinals.

“And as I told everybody last night, I’m not done. This sort of sounded like an obituary. I’m like, ‘Hey, I’m going to work tomorrow, and I’m going to keep firing away.'”

Of that work Bidwill is talking about includes the upcoming 2025 NFL Draft.

Arizona stayed busy this offseason with plenty of outside additions, re-signings and a massive contract extension for tight end Trey McBride.

Now, it’s about checking off one of the final boxes of the offseason acquisition period with a strong draft from general manager Monti Ossenfort, who continues to bring prospects in for top 30 visits after diving into the NFL Draft Combine, the Senior Bowl and other draft cycle events.

“Monti’s always got a good plan, and I’m excited to be going through it again,” Bidwill said. “Seeing just the positive things he’s done in his first two years and to have a third year of that, I think it’s going to be really impactful.”
