Following the Arizona Cardinals’ 26-14 win against the Los Angeles Chargers on Sunday, Mike LaFleur was understandably fired up after his first win as an NFL head coach.

In his postgame locker room speech, LaFleur handed out game balls to quarterback Jacoby Brissett, safety Andrew Wingard and special teams player Simi Fehoko, before giving the entire team one.

“Humility is a day away. Enjoy it. You should. You heard a lot of (expletive), and you blocked it all out,” LaFleur told his players postgame.

Before the speech ended, Cardinals owner Michael Bidwill gave out the last game ball to LaFleur, who became the first Cardinals head coach to win his opening game since Don Coryell did it with the then-St. Louis Cardinals in 1973.

The Cardinals racked up nearly 400 yards of offense in the win on Sunday in LaFleur’s first game back at SoFi Stadium since last season, when he was the Los Angeles Rams’ offensive coordinator. Along with the offense, Arizona’s defense impressed, too, allowing just one touchdown to the Chargers in the second half and forcing two turnovers.
