The Kyler Murray-Arizona Cardinals marriage will officially end when the 2026 NFL year officially starts up next Wednesday, and the public lit social media ablaze with their reactions Tuesday.

The 2019 No. 1 overall pick in the NFL Draft posted a message of gratitude and forward-thinking on X, thanking Cardinals fans and saying “God and my work ethic” will prepare him for “whatever’s next.”

Robert Griffin III, another former No. 1 pick to Washington in 2012, simply called Murray’s goodbye message “Classy,” with an accompanying fist bump emoji and gif.

NFL analyst Mina Kimes kept the one-word reaction theme going, saying that Murray will be a Viking when the release comes down.

NFL Draft and fantasy football analyst Field Yates explained that this impending move by Arizona will give whichever team that picks up Murray a “massive bargain” with his 2026 owed money on the Cardinals’ books.

Future team projections aside, Murray garnered plenty of support and farewells from Arizona fans.

Sports media account Pro Football Focus College was optimistic in its reaction to the news, the former projecting a Murray “redemption tour in 2026” with a highlight reel from the QB’s collegiate days with Oklahoma.

Good riddance…waited way too long…of course bidwill screwed up once again and got nothing for him..owe him 35 mil to play for another team…Kyler won’t turn into anything of course…simply too small and is no leader and is selfish…he’s not as good as he thinks he is..he’s stuck in high school and college days…bust of a draft pick..did nothing close to winning a Super Bowl …got trounced and embarrassed us in his lone playoff appearance…crying on the bench while budda was layed out on the field hurt
