Say what now? Hjalte Froholdt’s 1-of-a-kind way to describe Cardinals’ QB play
The Arizona Cardinals' impressive quarterback play through two preseason games hasn't been lost on starting center Hjalte Froholdt by any means.

TEMPE — Through two preseason games, the Arizona Cardinals’ quarterback play has been a main talking point.
First, it was rookie Carson Beck getting it done before turning things over to Kedon Slovis, who did much of the same in the Hall of Fame game.
The end result? The duo completed 24 of 29 passes for 282 yards and two touchdowns
Then came Jacoby Brissett, Gardner Minshew II and Slovis making the most of their snaps in Thursday’s win over the Las Vegas Raiders.
The trio finished the night completing 26 of 30 for 212 yards and three scores.
Preseason or not, seeing a four-headed quarterback showing complete all but nine pass attempts is an impressive way to kick off head coach Mike LaFleur’s offensive playcalling.
Veteran center Hjalte Froholdt certainly agrees.
“That whole quarterback room in general, they’ve been balling out,” Froholdt said Saturday. “It’s almost like a reverse (expletive) show in a way. … It’s a good room and I think they’re having a lot of fun. It’s good to see.”
That’s definitely one way to put it.
The secret to Cardinals QBs preseason success?
Seeing efficient quarterback play in the preseason is littered with asterisks. It’s preseason. It’s vanilla game planning. It’s not against starters (or at least not all of them).
Players still have to make the plays and coaches still have to coach, though.
So, while everything should be taken with a grain of preseason salt, it’s been a good preview of what LaFleur is building.

“It’s quite a visual (Froholdt) puts out there, but it’s been great,” Minshew said when asked about Froholdt’s creative phrasing and why the room is having success. “I think the emphasis that coaches put on just operating in the offense, the simplicity in it, it’s made our jobs easy.
“Each guy kind of has their own strengths and has been able to go out and lead their group. It’s been a lot of fun.”

Say what you want about the level of competition, the opposing DBs don't cause the throws to be on time and on target, nor do they help the WRs catch the ball.
Would starters and scheme cause pressures and coverage that would result in more off-target throws and fewer catches? Sure. But the first step to quality QB/WR play is on time and on target throws and catching the ball, and the Cardinals have executed that so far at a near-perfect level.
And if you think that's a given in the preseason, go look at some other starting QBs stats so far.
The fecal matter show was last year when JB went 1-11. And we expect better results this year? How? Why? Besides Petzig somehow getting an upgrade with the Lions, what is different? Hope spring eternal in preseason. Then the season starts and the Cards show their true colors... a new Left guard doesn't change much, and your new right guard plays in 27 now. I am going to laugh my a@@ off when Kyler Kyler Kyler is in the playoffs and Cards are mathematically eliminated in week 9.
