The Arizona Cardinals said Tuesday they have inked 2025 first-round pick Walter Nolen III to his rookie contract.

The 16th overall pick now makes it six out of seven rookies who have officially signed their deals, with cornerback and second-round pick Will Johnson remaining.

In total, the payout sits at $19.3 million and includes a $10.7 signing bonus, reports ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

Nolen’s contract is for four years with a fifth-year option attached, a standard piece for first-round picks.

The defensive tackle spent two seasons at Texas A&M before transferring to Ole Miss, where last season he piled up 48 tackles with 14 for loss and 6.5 sacks.

The 6-foot-4, 296-pounder added three passes defensed and two fumble recoveries as well, helping him become a consensus All-American.

Nolen joins a revamped defensive front for Arizona that has a blend of veterans and youngsters.

He’s joined by 38-year-old and 2008 second-round Cardinals draft pick Calais Campbell and interior defender Dalvin Tomlinson, who were both free-agent additions.

Veteran returnees L.J. Collier, Justin Jones and Bilal Nichols are also under contract for 2025, while rotation youngsters Darius Robinson and Dante Still are in line to push for playing time.

i never understood rookie contract holdouts. I get there is some variability in guaranteed money, but the number is the number.

On a more positive note, I can't wait to see this kid live.
