Arizona Coyotes hire Cory Banika as an amateur scout
Cory Banika spent five seasons in the scouting department for the St. Louis Blues, and most recently, three seasons with the Buffalo Sabres.

The Arizona Coyotes have hired Cory Banika as an amateur scout, the team announced Monday.
Banika spent five seasons in the scouting department for the St. Louis Blues, and most recently, three seasons with the Buffalo Sabres.
The Coyotes say Banika’s primary focus will be scouting for the club’s Ontario Hockey League team.
“We are very excited to add Cory to our scouting department,” Coyotes GM Bill Armstrong said in a press release. “Cory is a very talented and experienced scout who was instrumental in drafting Robert Thomas, Vince Dunn and Robby Fabbri while he was with the Blues. He will be a great addition to our staff.”
Banika played 170 games as a forward in the American Hockey League. He also spent time in the Colonial Hockey League, East Coast Hockey League and Ontario Hockey League. Banika won four championships during his playing career including the 1997 Calder Cup, the 1990 Memorial Cup and two Colonial Cups.
