Coyotes’ Antti Raanta expected to return Friday vs. Colorado

Antti Raanta missed eight games with the Coyotes due to a lower body injury and was placed on injured reserve. He's expected to start against Colorado.

Goalie Antti Raanta is expected to return Friday night against the Colorado Avalanche.

According to Coyotes.com, head coach Rick Tocchet announced the netminder will return to the ice after missing the previous eight games due to a lower-body injury.

Darcy Kuemper has been in the starting lineup to replace Raanta.

Prior to the injury, 29-year-old Raanta earned a .929 save percentage and 2.10 goals against average.

The Coyotes announced Friday that they have have assigned goaltender Hunter Miska to their AHL affiliate Tucson Roadrunners.

Miska, 23, played in one game with Arizona, stopping eight of nine shots against the Detroit Red Wings. In seven games with the Roadrunners, Miska has 3.11 goals against average and a .901 save percentage this season.
