Arizona Cardinals dollar linebacker Deone Bucannon left the Sunday game against the Jacksonville Jaguars and did not return after injuring his ankle in the first half of the Week 12 outing.
Josh Bynes replaced the fourth-year pro out of Washington State.
The team did not announce which ankle Bucannon injured, but it comes after the 2014 first-round pick missed much of the preseason and part of the regular season battling ankle injuries.
Bucannon came off the PUP list on Aug. 22 after missing much of the summer following ankle surgery. That was required after he ended up not undergoing surgery the prior offseason and playing in 13 games before landing on the injured reserved with three games remaining in 2016.
The 25-year-old then suffered another setback heading into the 2017 season opener. He sprained his ankle before Arizona played the Detroit Lions in Week 1.
He missed the next two games before debuting Oct. 1 against the San Francisco 49ers and has since recorded 57 tackles to go with a forced fumble.
Bucannon tallied a season-high 13 tackles in Week 11 against the Houston Texans.
