Larry Fitzgerald may have put man asking for help in a huge pickle

Larry Fitzgerald may have put a man in a pickle when he told the man's girlfriend she would be getting engaged if she comes to the Cardinals-Redskins game.

So here’s what we know: A man by the username JP Walther on Twitter needed help.

He tweeted at Larry Fitzgerald, asking the Cardinals receiver to convince his girlfriend to drive with him to the Sunday game between Arizona and Washington at FedExField.

Fitzgerald obliged — maybe not in the way Walther expected.

“Dear JPS girlfriend,” the Cardinals receiver wrote, “Come with him to the game and he will propose for Christmas!! Love, Fitz.”

Without knowing the background, it would appear that Fitzgerald just put a heap of pressure on Walther and the expectations if his girlfriend goes to the football game.

Maybe Walther just wanted his girlfriend to come along for a nice Sunday afternoon of Cardinals football. Maybe JP had worked with Fitzgerald to plan popping the question.Β As it stands, though, it seems this is just Fitz causing some trouble.

We can only hope that Fitzgerald hasn’t set the expectation bar much higher than the reality of what JP was trying to accomplish here.

Everyone on Twitter enjoyed the joke, even if it causes JP some trouble.
