Coyotes loan defenseman Victor Soderstrom to AIK in Sweden

The Arizona Coyotes announced Monday that they have loaned defenseman Victor Soderstrom to AIK in the Sweden Allsvenskan hockey league.
Soderstrom, 19 years old, played for Swedish hockey team Brynäs IF this past season, where he recorded five goals and 11 assists in 35 games. He also had 63 shots on goal and 17 blocked shots, according to NHL.com.
Soderstrom also played for Sweden at the 2020 World Junior Championship. He had a goal and five assists in seven games.
The 5-foot-11, 179-pound athlete was drafted by the Coyotes with the No. 11 pick in the 2019 NHL Entry Draft.
Arizona finished its regular season 33-29-8. The Coyotes made it through the qualifiers to reach the first round of the playoffs, where they lost to the Colorado Avalanche in five games.
