The Arizona State Sun Devils are hard at work solidifying their 2021 recruiting class.
ASU, which put together a top-25 recruiting class last year, according to 247 Sports, began the 2021 class’ early signing period with 14 verbally committed players and one transfer making up the No. 46-ranked group in the nation.
On Wednesday, they added to their ranks even more with top-ranked prospect and 4-star cornerback Isaiah Johnson. The cornerback had said in December he would be waiting until national signing day to sign his letter of intent.
Johnson’s the 136th-ranked player in the entire class.
Even though the coronavirus pandemic led to ASU playing just four games in 2020, the Sun Devils return first-year offensive coordinator Zak Hill, who gets another season with quarterback Jayden Daniels. Defensively, there’s been some shifting. After taking over co-defensive coordinator duties last season, Antonio Pierce was named sole DC this offseason. Former co-DC Marvin Lewis is now a special assistant to head coach Herm Edwards.
The return of quarterback Daniels and the 2021 eligibility of all the players on the current roster also will help ASU, as it will every other team.
Below is a running tally of the recruits who have officially signed with Arizona State:
Players with * indicates Wednesday signings. Players with ** indicates early signing period additions.
