The Diamondbacks won 94 games this season, and needless to
say there were plenty of exciting moments along the way.

However, we could not narrow it down to five on our own, so
we took the vote to
the fans
.

So, without further ado, we submit to you the top five
moments in the 2011 Diamondbacks regular season as voted on
by you, the fans.

Champagne bottles popped after the Diamondbacks
clinched their first division title since 2007
after beating the Giants 3-1. Arizona got to
celebrate the victory at home in Phoenix on
September 23. In his fifth start of the season on April 25,
Ian Kennedy showed his best stuff against the
Phillies, throwing a complete game shutout
giving up three hits and striking out 10.
Kennedy was pitching on short sleep, having
been in New York for the birth of his first
child the previous day. Four days after being signed by the
Diamondbacks in August, first basemen Lyle
Overbay hit the go-ahead double off of Phillies
ace Roy Halladay in the 9th inning. The August
16th victory was one of many impressive
comeback victories the team had this season. The Diamondbacks celebrated the NL West
championship by jumping into the pool at Chase
Field on September 23. The division title is
the fifth in team history and first since 2007.
The pool was a refreshing spot for a team that
has stayed hot in the second half of the
season. Ryan Roberts rounds third base after hitting a
grand slam that capped a six-run come from
behind victory in the 10th inning after the
Dodgers took a five-run lead on September 27.
It was the Diamondbacks' 48th comeback victory
of the season and apparently the most
memorable.
