Arizona State wide receiver Frank Darby needs no introduction to Sun Devils fans.
The senior WR, however, did need one the first time he spoke to former ASU wideout N’Keal Harry.
In an interview with NFL Network prior to Saturday’s 2021 Senior Bowl, Darby said he asked Harry if he played defensive end the first time the two met at Arizona State.

"What do you play? D-End?" 😂

N’Keal promptly responded that he was a wide receiver (who was eventually drafted No. 32 overall by the New England Patriots in the 2019 NFL Draft).
“I was like, ‘Oh yeah I’m gonna redshirt this year!'” Darby said while laughing.
“Being a big guy at your school, you think you’re the big dog until you go somewhere else with people that are bigger than you in the same position. You’re like wow, I have to get better, I have to get stronger.”
Darby says the duo are like best friends now and that he contacts Harry regularly for career advice.
“He was telling, ‘It’s already written. Just stay humble. You’ve been doing it for so long, don’t get yourself caught up into trying to be something you’re not. Just try to be Frank and go out there and do your thing,'” Darby said of Harry.
“And that’s just how I looked at it.”
