Coyotes forward Christian Fischer was placed on injured reserve, while left-wing Lawson Crouse is day-to-day and will not play against the St. Louis Blues, Arizona head coach Rick Tocchet announced Tuesday.
Both Fischer and Crouse are dealing with upper-body injuries.
“[Fischer] is on the IR and Crouse is day-to-day,” Tocchet told reporters via Zoom on Tuesday following the team’s morning skate. “Those two guys are out tonight. Dryden Hunt will go in with John Hayden.”
Fischer has yet to record a point this season.
Crouse has one point in eight games this year, recording an assist in a 5-2 win against the Vegas Golden Knights on Jan. 22.
With the lineup change, Hunt is set to make his season debut in Crouse’s absence.
Hayden is stepping in for Fischer and will be making his second appearance as a Coyote. He made his debut on Jan. 20 when Arizona faced off against Vegas.
Tocchet said that he has wanted to get Hayden and Hunt on the ice more and has been trying to get them some more looks.
