Suns’ Chris Paul becomes 6th player in NBA history to reach 10,000 assists

History was made Sunday night at Phoenix Suns Arena in a 111-94 victory over the Los Angeles Laker.
Suns point guard Chris Paul become just the sixth player in NBA history to reach the 10,000 assists mark.
The feat came on this alley-oop pass that was slammed home by Deandre Ayton, Paul’s ninth dime on the night.

The Suns point guard finished the contest with his first triple-double for Phoenix that consisted of 11 points, 10 boards and 13 assists.
Paul now sits behind only John Stockton (15,806), former Suns Jason Kidd (12,091) and Steve Nash (10,335), Mark Jackson (10,334) and Magic Johnson (10,141) on the all-time list.
Simply put: half of the top six all-time assist leaders have played for the Suns.
