Phoenix Rising FC fans got a taste of what is to come in the 2021 USL Championship campaign on Tuesday.

A day after USL announced the full League One schedule, it announced the home openers for all 31 teams competing in the Championship.

PRFC will open the season in its new stadium at Wild Horse Pass against San Diego Loyal SC on April 30.

“We couldn’t be more excited to open the 2021 season at our new stadium,” general manager Bobby Dulle said in a press release.

“Construction is right on schedule. We will continue to work with state and local officials to determine the appropriate seating capacity for the match.”

The remainder of the regular-season schedule, as well as the playoff format, will be announced in the coming weeks.

Phoenix Rising also announced on Tuesday that it will be playing a preseason match against MLS side Seattle Sounders FC at Lumen Field in Seattle on April 4.

As a result, PRFC will no longer play a preseason friendly against MLS side LA Galaxy in Tucson on April 3.

This comes after the Sounders canceled their trip to Los Angeles for the penultimate week of their preseason, as Seattle opens the 2021 MLS season on April 16.
