With the No. 24 overall pick in the 2015 NFL Draft, the Arizona Cardinals selected Florida offensive tackle D.J. Humphries.
The 6-foot-5, 307-pound Humphries declared for the draft following his junior season in Gainesville.
As a freshman in 2012, Humphries played in all 12 games for the Gators and was named to the All-SEC Freshman Team and was a Sporting News Freshman All-American.
He missed the last five games of his 2013 season due to a sprained MCL, but did play almost 70 percent of the team’s snaps in 2014. He played in 29 career games with 19 starts.
He ran a 5.12 40-yard dash at the NFL Combine and posted a 31-inch vertical.
Humphries has been lauded for his toughness, demeanor, and ability as a run blocker.
This is the first time the Cardinals have drafted an offensive tackle in the first round since 2007.
Cardinals coach Bruce Arians confirmed D.J. Humphries will compete with Bobby Massie for starting RT spot.
