The Arizona Diamondbacks announced four roster moves on Sunday, cutting their roster down to 28 players.

Most notable of the four was former third-round draft pick RHP Jon Duplantier, who was optioned to Triple-A Reno.

Duplantier pitched in two games for Arizona this spring training and posted a 0.00 ERA, 0.33 WHIP and allowed one hit in 3.0 innings.

The right-handed pitcher was drafted in the third-round of the 2016 MLB Draft from Rice University and pitched in 15 games for the D-backs in 2019.

Three more players were assigned to minor league camp in OF Trayce Thompson, LHP Joe Mantiply and RHP Anthony Swarzak.

Thompson played in 22 spring training games for Arizona and racked up three home runs and five RBIs while batting .167 in the Cactus League.

Mantiply posted a 1.23 ERA, struck out nine and allowed one earned run in 7.1 innings this spring.

Swarzak pitched in 5 games for the D-backs this spring and recorded a 1.80 ERA with six strike outs.

Arizona will have to cut two more players to get down to the Opening Day roster limit of 26 players before opening the 2021 MLB season against the San Diego Padres on Thursday.

The Diamondbacks will continue spring training play on Sunday, as Arizona will play the Chicago White Sox at Camelback Ranch at 1:05 p.m.
