Coyotes select LW Ilya Fedotov No. 43 overall in 2nd round of NHL Draft

The Arizona Coyotes selected forward Ilya Fedotov with the No. 43 overall pick in the second round of the NHL Draft on Saturday.

Fedotov, just 18-years-old, is the 28th rated European skating prospect for 2021, according to NHL.com. According to Bob Mckenzie of TSN, he had Fedotov ranked 69th overall in his big board draft that included North American and European players.
Fedotov was the third player taken for the Coyotes after ninth overall pick Dylan Guenther and No. 37 pick Josh Doan, son of Coyotes legend Shane Doan.
In 2020-21, he played 54 games for Chaika Nizhny Novgorod of the Maritime Junior Hockey League, posting 18 goals, 20 assists and 38 points.
The Coyotes have made a multitude of moves leading up to the NHL Draft along with working their way back into the first round of the draft on Friday.
The Coyotes hold seven overall picks on Day 2 of the NHL Draft.
