The Arizona Cardinals announced Monday that running back James Conner, tight end Darrell Daniels, defensive lineman Leki Fotu and safety Charles Washington have been activated from the COVID-19 reserve list.
All four of those players were placed on the list Friday.
Wide receiver Andy Isabella, who went on the COVID-19 list Wednesday, remains sidelined. It’s his second stint on the COVID-19 list.
Arizona on Monday also released four players: receiver Aleva Hifo, defensive lineman Darius Kilgo, running back Ito Smith and receiver JoJo Ward.
Hifo, Kilgo and Smith had brief stints with the Cardinals during camp, but Ward has been part of the team or its practice squad since going undrafted in 2020.
Ward made two catches for 12 yards Friday in Arizona’s first preseason game of the year, a 19-16 win against the Dallas Cowboys.
Smith had two carries for six yards Friday but was fighting an uphill battle behind Chase Edmonds, James Conner, Jonathan Ward, Eno Benjamin and Tavien Feaster on the running back depth chart.
Kilgo added a tackle in his single preseason game with the Cardinals.
