Cardinals sign S Chris Banjo to active roster, release OL Koda Martin

The Arizona Cardinals signed safety Chris Banjo to the active roster and released offensive lineman Koda Martin on Monday.
Additionally, the team released offensive lineman Shaq Calhoun from the practice squad.
Banjo has played in three games this season after being elevated from the practice squad to the active roster. Primarily used as a special teams piece, Banjo has two tackles this season.
In the the team’s 37-20 win over the Los Angeles Rams, Banjo played the second-most snaps of the season on special teams with 20 (71%).
The safety has played 29 career games with the Cardinals since joining the team as a free agent in 2019. He’s recorded 62 tackles, a pass defensed and a QB hit over that span.
He joins a safeties room that includes Budda Baker, Jalen Thompson and Deionte Thompson.
Martin played in two games for the Cardinals, seeing six snaps between the offense and special teams.
