With nose tackle Rashard Lawrence (calf) and defensive end J.J. Watt (shoulder) on injured reserve, the Arizona Cardinals on Tuesday added veteran Zach Kerr to provide defensive line help.

Arizona also signed offensive lineman Marcus Henry to the active roster from its own practice squad, elevated offensive lineman Danny Isidora and linebacker Joe Walker off the practice squad as COVID-19 replacements, and re-signed offensive lineman Koda Martin to the practice squad.

Kerr may be the most significant of those moves. He played in four games this year and recorded three tackles for the San Francisco 49ers, who released him late last week.

The 31-year-old appeared in 12 games as a reserve for the Cardinals in 2019, tallying 19 tackles and two quarterback hits.

Kerr has also played for the Indianapolis Colts (2014-16), Denver Broncos (2017-18) and Carolina Panthers (2020).

Henry, who can play center, may be insurance with backup interior linemen Max Garcia and Sean Harlow seeing action last Sunday in a win against the San Francisco 49ers in place of regular starting guards Justin Pugh and Josh Jones. Pugh (calf) was injured during the game, and Garcia also reaggravated an Achilles injury.

Garcia and Harlow are also the team’s backup centers behind Rodney Hudson.

Isidora and Walker earned elevations with receiver A.J. Green and tight end Demetrius Harris on the COVID-19 reserve list as of Tuesday.
